Read MoreReserve your spot at the 2022 GSPA Fall Conference on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at the University of Georgia’s Tate Student Center. The cost is $15 per student. Membership dues cover adviser registration fees. Registration will close Sept. 16, or when the the event reaches capacity.
Read MoreGSPA will offer two on-the-spot contests during the Fall Conference Sept. 20 at the UGA Tate Student Center. Both will be open to student attendees of any publication type. There are no entry fees for either of these contests.

The deadline to submit to the contests is July 31, 2022. Please email gspa@uga.edu to request accommodations if your books will be delayed or delivered later in the summer.

The event will feature several rounds of concurrent sessions covering a variety of topics of importance to scholastic journalists and advisers. Conference extras will include on-the-spot critiques and contests, as well as the first edition carry in competition.

The workshop itself will be free to attend and will include sessions such as introduction to audio, introduction to photo and video, on writing and editing and crafting story ideas.

The event will be held at the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education on Monday, April 11. Entrants must create a comprehensive online portfolio to showcase their best journalistic pieces, skills and achievements. There are no entry fees for either of these contests.
