Fall Conference attendees representing newspapers, news magazines or news websites are invited to submit their best work from the beginning of this academic year for consideration in the First Edition Competition. There are no fees to enter.

Categories include:

Front page (newspaper/news website)
Cover (news magazine)
News Story
Feature Story
Sports Story
Opinion Piece

Submit entries as links or pdfs to gspa@uga.edu or provide hard copies (specific articles must be clearly marked) by 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Please submit only one entry per publication in each category. Work must have been published this academic year (late July 2023 at the earliest). Winners will be announced at the end of the conference and also posted on ugagspa.org. Certificates will be mailed following the conference.
