2021 Spring Contests now open

The 2020-21 Spring General Excellence Competition and Individual Awards contest are now open! Submit your best work from broadcasts, newsmagazines, newspapers and news websites.  Additionally, Achievement Awards are open to all publication types.

All required forms will be submitted via online forms. Entries must have been published between Feb. 1, 2020 and March 5, 2021. All entries must be submitted by March 5, 2021.

GSPA membership is required to enter all GSPA competitions.

This year’s contest features two new individual categories. Last year prompted students to adapt during a global pandemic and social unrest in the United States, covering public health crises, protests and other key moments that shaped 2020. Students may enter work related to COVID-19 and social justice in standalone categories: Special 1 (S1) Social Justice Reporting and/or Special 2 (S2) COVID-19 Reporting.
