June 7-12: Media and Leadership Academy at the University of Georgia (CANCELED)

Location: Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication

High school journalists and media creators are encouraged to apply for the 2020 Media & Leadership Academy at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. The residential program is open to rising high school sophomores to seniors. Participants will choose from one of the three offered tracks: Journalism, Advertising & Public Relations or Entertainment. They'll spend time developing skill sets based on their interests and working in teams to complete portfolio projects. Limited need-based scholarships are available (due April 17). Apply early! June 10-13: Carolina Journalism Institute at the University of South Carolina

Location: College of Information and Communications

Get ready to take on the election and a changing media environment in June 2020. Apply to be part of the CJI 2020 team by May 15. You will receive your acceptance letter by May 23. Need funds? Apply for a scholarship to attend CJI sponsored by the SIPA Endowment.  By engaging in real-world experiences and discussions, you learn how to work in as a team to produce a final project and to use programs and resources that benefit you in your journalism classrooms and beyond.  Learn more.

June 13-20: Center for Collaborative Journalism Digital Media Summer Camp at Mercer University

Location: Mercer University’s Macon Campus

Rising high school juniors and seniors are invited to attend our 2020 Digital Media Summer Camp. Campers learn interviewing techniques, audio editing, photography, news writing  and writing for the web during this intensive one-week residential camp. Scholarships available. Ccj.mercer.edu/camp.
