On-the-Spot Social Media Contest winners announced from 2024 Fall Conference

Students showcased their experiences at the Fall Conference on Oct. 24, 2024, through the On-the-Spot Social Media Contest. These entries consisted of Instagram Reels and Posts and a lot of creativity. Certificates and swag will be mailed to advisers. The winners are:

First Place - The Lambert Post 

Judge’s comments: Students with Lambert High School made a Reel to the "Lean and Dab" trend showcasing student attendees around campus.

Second Place - The Legend Yearbook at McIntosh HS

Judge’s comments: These students created the popular "Candy Salad" Reel, expressing their traumatic experiences and/or things that could possibly go wrong with creating yearbooks. 

Third Place - North Hall Trojans Yearbook Staff 

Judge’s comments: Students created an IG dump of their GSPA experience. Really great shots!

Honorable Mentions

• iliad Literary-Art Magazine 

  Judge’s comments: Students took shots and reported on one of the GSPA sessions. I loved that they included a quote from the presenter.

McIntosh Trail 

• Students posted a picture on X of their conversation with Mitch Eden. They also included a student quote from their experience.
