Registration now open for Spring Workshop and Awards March 27

GSPA and its members from across the state will celebrate the best in scholastic journalism at the 2023 Spring Workshop and Awards. The event will be held at the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education on Monday, March 27. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. A workshop will lead the event, 9-11:45 a.m., followed by a catered awards luncheon at noon. Professional dress is suggested. View the 2022 program for an example of what to expect.

Recipients of awards administered throughout the year will be recognized, including the Summer Yearbook and Literary Magazine contest winners, Georgia Champion and Junior Champion Journalists, First Amendment Essay finalists, Achievement Award winners and Spring Broadcast, Newspaper, Newsmagazine and News Website contest winners.

Registration for the Spring Awards is now available at this link: 2023 Spring Workshop and Awards through 3 p.m. March 20. Please note: there is a maximum of 250 attendees, and registration will end once that number is reached. Attendance is free for advisers who have paid membership fees and $30 per student or other guest. The fee includes a mini conference followed by a catered banquet-style meal. A final head count is needed by the caterer one week prior to the event. Therefore, changes after 3 p.m. March 20 will not be allowed and no refunds will be given after this date.
