Begin prepping for GA Journalist of the Year submissions
/Each year, GSPA recognizes the top senior journalist in the state with the Georgia Champion Journalist of the Year Award. The winner from Georgia receives a monetary prize and advances to represent the state in the Journalism Education Association's National Journalist of the Year scholarship competition. While the deadline for entries is months away, it is recommended that seniors begin to assemble their portfolios weeks in advance in order to have plenty of time to complete them.
In addition to the senior competition, GSPA administers a JR JOY contest. Juniors interested in entering must submit a portfolio of work along with other requirements.
The deadline to enter either the JOY or Jr. JOY contest is 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 23, 2022.
