UGA to launch First Amendment Clinic

Officially launching in August 2020, the First Amendment Clinic at the University of Georgia School of Law focuses on direct client advocacy in Georgia on issues of free speech, press, assembly and petition. This includes defending and advancing the newsgathering and press freedoms of student journalists, and the free expression rights of public school students and employees.

Aiming to serve individuals and organizations who may not otherwise have access to counsel with First Amendment expertise, the clinic offers free consultation, legal representation, and educational programs upon request.

To contact the UGA First Amendment Clinic, email FAClinic@uga.edu, or call (706) 227-5421.
