Deadline for Spring Contests, Achievement Awards quickly approaching

The deadline for General Excellence and Individual Awards contest entries for broadcasts, newspapers, newsmagazines and news websites is 11:59 p.m. on March 4.

Nominations for Achievement Awards, which are open to all publications types, must also be received by 11:59 p.m. on March 4. Achievement Awards include the following categories:

• Administrator of the Year

• Adviser of the Year

• Community Service

• First-year Adviser

• Freedom of the Press

• Perseverance

• Start-up

• Turnaround

An entry form submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. This is because the GSPA office must sort and verify all entries and turn them over to judges in enough time to have the results returned and the awards created for the April 9 ceremony. Thank you for your understanding.
