Media & Leadership Academy applications now open

UPDATE: Thank you for your interest in the Media and Leadership Academy. The University System of Georgia announced on April 3 that all institutions, including UGA, must move to online-only classes for college students this summer. Regrettably, Grady College leadership also has made the decision to cancel the Media and Leadership Academy. This decision was not taken lightly and was made in the best interest of everyone’s health. Please email journalismacademy@uga.edu next academic year for information about summer 2021.

Applications for the 2020 Media and Leadership Academy are now open!

The one-week experiential learning academy for high school students runs June 7-12, 2020. Students may choose to study one of three tracks: Journalism, Advertising & Public Relations, or Entertainment Media. General applications and financial assistance applications are available on the GSPA website here.

Applications are required by May 1, 2020 or until the camp is full. (Space is limited to 60 students and admissions are rolling). Students requiring financial assistance must submit the general application and financial assistance applications by April 17, 2020.
