Winter student media conference to take place Feb. 22 at Augusta University

GSPA is partnering with Augusta State University to offer hands-on workshops for high school students and advisers on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020.

The second annual Augusta Journalism Conference, featuring WRDW I-Team leader Liz Owens (a Murrow award-winning investigative journalist), will be held at Augusta University’s Summerville Campus, located at 2500 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904.

Media professionals and AU faculty will cover the following topics: leadership, organization, team building, strategic planning, editing, reporting, writing, photojournalism, design, news, features, sports, opinion, promotion and advertising.

Students and teachers involved in all scholastic media types, including yearbooks, are encouraged to attend. The registration fee is $20 per student and $25 for an adviser, and a T-shirt and lunch is included. To register, contact David Bulla at AU, dbulla@augusta.edu, by Jan. 31.
