Meredith Dean has followed paths that scared her during her career. But taking opportunities and risks has led her from positions at CNN and “Inside Edition” to now running her own digital media branding company and coordinating programming for Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dean, the founder of The Dean’s List and program coordinator for Ryan Seacrest Studios, hopes young aspiring media professionals will take opportunities regardless of age or fears.

Delivering the keynote address at the Georgia Scholastic Press Association (GSPA) Fall Conference on Sept. 19, 2019, Dean challenged nearly 900 high school students to stand out in a crowd, be well-rounded and to start working now on creating a professional impression.
